Luke's Lobster Portland Pier: A Seafood Haven with Scenic Harbor Views

Had a wonderful time at Lukes Lobster Portland. Our waiter Evan was fantastic! The lobster roll with truffle oil was absolutely my favorite. Rich buttery and perfectly balanced. The New England clam chowder was incredible too and definitely a reason to come back. If you love cheese I highly recommend the cheese sandwich with lobster. It is such a must try combo. We also enjoyed a fresh Allagash beer while watching seals dive right off the pier and taking in the beautiful sunset. The space itself makes the meal even better!! So cozy! Overall, excellent service delicious seafood and an unforgettable view. Can't wait to return!

We went to Portland for a quick birthday weekend. We ate at Luke’s after seeing great reviews. We were not disappointed! Kayla was an excellent server and made some delicious recommendations. My wife had a whole lobster with steamed clams. I had the in-season scallops, broiled, at Kayla’s recommendation. They were the most tender, luxurious scallops I had ever eaten. My wife’s lobster and clams were exactly what we were expecting during our visit. We definitely recommend visiting Luke’s!

This place is the same Luke's Lobster in New York. The Portland restaurant is more than just the lobster or shrimp rolls. There is always a line but they are pretty efficient. They take your info and text you when your table is ready. We were able to walk around which made the 20 minute wait time go faster. We all ordered the special which was a 1.5lb lobster. It was an great price. The lobster came out hot. It had a lot of meat and very juicy. They had a card that gave you instructions on how to get the meat out and it worked. The waitress was also very friendly and attentive. This place also got me hooked on Ginger brew. They serve a non alcoholic berry mule that was delicious. We had great food and great views.

Our lunch there included a steamed 1.5 lbs lobster with half pound clams, corn and potatoes. It tastes very good. Service is topnotch. The waiter even cracked the entire lobster at our table for us. We were seated at a high-top table on the upper floor, overseeing the beautiful harbor... just a wonderful lunch experience.

Super fun atmosphere. Nice experience. The clam chowder was excellent. Very generous with the clams. The lobster roll good. It felt like more than 4oz but I didn't taste the lobster flavor I'm used to. I wanted it warm but I was told right now they're not serving them warm. The bun had the strongest flavor. The person in our party who loved their lobster roll the best ordered it with the spicy honey butter. Gonna go back and that next time. Saw a seal while we ate. Very cool!

We decided to go to Luke’s Lobster for lunch. We know that is deemed a “tourist” spot but the reviews had us sold. Service was great and attentive. We got there right when they opened so we had a table on the top floor with a beautiful harbor view. I ordered the lobster roll flight. The lobster roll sampler consists of three half-rolls: lemon butter, spicy honey butter, and truffle butter w/ fries. I was nervous trying new new flavors but I was honestly blown away. The lobster rolls were packed to the brim. I struggled to finish my meal. My mother ordered the fried fisherman’s platter which came with haddock, clams, shrimp w/ house-made tartar. Served w/ fries & slaw. The popcorn shrimp was different for a fisherman’s platter but it was good! We also saw the seals swimming and playing in the water so that was a plus!

An institution. Definitely get the lobster roll flight so you can try 3 different rolls. They are simply delicious - bread, some sauce and big chunks of lobster. We also got the chowder. The views of the pier are incredible as well. Staff was nice and friendly. All in all a great stop for a delicious meal and highly recommended.

Awesome experience, went there for new years over the last couple of years and have always enjoyed it. From the fresh steamed lobster to the delicious clam chowder this is the place you want to be. I had a 1.5lb lobster and the claw meat was to die for, it paired to good with the fresh butter. The clams as well are incredibly delicious sweet even, and the muscles are also so good with their bread. Overall one of the best places to celebrate the new years, another honorable mention is the delicious clam chowder and lobster soup they are must haves as well.
